Comics Môn Blog
Introducing the Blog. (05.04.09)
Welcome to the Comics Môn Blog. This is merely a side note to this site. The main aspects of this site is the checklists. The blog is an unrelated side note. It will not necessarily be an annually updated feature. I will merely be writing whenever I have something to write about, and it will be about anything I feel like, which is why it will be unrelated. With a PSN ID of WrestleBlog I suppose there is an underlining possibility that the majority will be on the topic of wrestling, but there's also a possibility that it will be a healthy variety. This particular post merely introduces the blog and will be stickied at the top until I feel it necessary to reintroduce the blog for some reason or an other. My native tongue , if you will, is Welsh and it's important to me to have this site in the medium of Welsh, however this section will be in the English language only. This is for ease of not having to translate my posts accordingly. At the moment there is no option to add comments to the blog posts, this is a feature that may or may not be added in the future. In the meantime, feel free to e-mail me if you have anything to say. Enjoy!
Project Needlemouse Revealed. (06.02.10)
Many of you may have seen the above Project Needlemouse Teaser Trailer over the
last few months, but this week SEGA have released a new Reveal Trailer. Check it
out below, the title will be available to download on all major platforms this
summer.
Introducing the Archives, Angel Continuation Notes, Forthcoming Title News & More. (31.01.10)
Hope you appreciate the recent
updates to the site, I apologise for letting the checklists grow outdated over
the last few months, but they are now up to date.
As stated in the title, I'm today introducing the
Comics Môn Blog 2009
Archive. Every post (not that there's that many) from 2009 can now be
located in the 2009 Archive by following the above link, or by scrolling to the
bottom of the page and clicking Older Posts. This means the main blog page will
not become cluttered with years and years worth of blog posts.
Die Hard: Year One and Galactica 1980 have become official members of my
collection, however no checklists are currently necessary as the titles are
simple to follow. However, Galactica 1980 came to an end after #4 with the words
"To Be Continued... in Galactica 1981" which would suggest that a checklist may
be necessary in the future.
Some of you may have noticed late last year that Angel Annual #1 was added to
the Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight checklist, but has since been pulled.
From what I had been reading about the Angel Annual #1 prior to it's release I
was fairly certain that it wouldn't be part of the continuation, however, I
chose to add it to the list regardless and see it for myself before making my
decision. My copy arrived early on in January and a quick flick through told me
what I already knew, and the title was pulled from the checklist. For those
unaware Angel Annual #1 is the "movie" adaption of the events that took place
during Angel: After the Fall. The title is a parody written by Brian Lynch
himself, I will definitely give it a read sometime but it won't become part of
my collection.
On the subject of Angel there's a special issue due out the 1st of April titled
Angel: Lorne putting Lorne in the spotlight in a special tribute to the late
Andy Hallett, who as you know portrayed Lorne in the TV series. The title is
available to pre-order from INTER COMICS.
Still no sign of Stargate #0 as yet and
INTER COMICS have stopped taking pre-orders, however you can still order it
through Forbidden Planet
International for 85p but note that orders must be a minimum of £5 prior to
P&P charges. GatePages LJ
have reported that Dynamite have assured us that the title is still in the works
following delays and they are hoping to get the title out in early 2010.
The next instalment in the Wildstorm/Frank Spotnitz run of The X-Files comics
have been delayed until later this year according to Frank Spotnitz himself,
which he stated on his site Big Light
Productions.
On a final, and unrelated note, Through Colour (the artists formally known as My
Turn to Kill) have a Mini-Album out now. It's their first title under their new
name, while also being their first title commercially released by a record
label. The title is named Dreaming in Black and White and is available to buy
from their store, and can
also be purchased through
iTunes.
I haven't had a chance to give it a listen yet (I hope to this Tuesday), but I
did get an opportunity to get an advance preview copy earlier last year and the
3 tracks that were featured were as fantastic as their debut EP under their
previous name, and am certain that the remaining 3 tracks featured on the full
release will be just as great. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.
For more information visit their
MySpace page, and I
would like to personally thank Same Dance Records for giving these guys the
opportunity to showcase their talents.
